The STOPCOR anode product line utilizes the method of producing and imposing impressed current through a sacrificial magnesium anode which creates an electrolytic dipode capable of generating voltage of up to 1,5 volt and current density of up to 10mA when present in a standard environment.
These anodes function as self-contained devices producing current of consistent voltage and amperage.
There are two fitting points on the device itself:
1. On the upper part of the device there is a lead/cable which has been connected to the magnesium metal within the device.
2. on the external side of the device there is another cable attached to a pin connector which is fitted to the second electrolytic pole surrounded by magnesium metal.

These two cables are connected to metal structures and any metal surface which may be prone to electrolysis. The top cable is connected to the metal surface and the side cable to a grounding point on the floor.
This results in the imposition of consistent voltage and negative DC amperage.
The metal structures are therefore rendered electronegative and electrolysis is prevented.
The diversity of existing installations (size, materials used, construction methods) has necessitated the manufacture of various types of anodes in order to meet any particular demands.
The types of anodes available include:
A1 - A3 - A5 which can be used in their standardised form for most installations.
The STOPCOR PLUS Product Line (available in A1 - A3 - A5 - A7 - A9 types) has been designed to protect large structures with specific attributes and/or increased demands.
The lifespan of the anodes has been estimated at approximately 3 years. However, it may be shorter in cases where the electrolysis phenomenon appears to be more intense. Similarly, it could be longer if the electrolysis phenomenon is less intense.

NOTE
A routine inspection/maintenance check on a 6-month basis could further extend the lifespan of the anode. For further instructions please refer to the homepage.
